Giving Back

Giving back to the community is very important to me.  As a result, I volunteer with a number of organizations and have organized several in-kind good drives.

Pine Street Inn is New England’s leading homeless services organization.  The organization serves nearly 2,000 people within the city of Boston each day and strives to help people get off the streets, into shelters, and ultimately into long-term housing.

I have volunteered with Pine Street Inn since 2019.  In 2019, I worked with the volunteer services team to gain a sense of the organization across a wide range of functional areas, including providing administrative support, assisting with meal preparation and service, assembling welcome amenities, providing social activities for residents, and welcoming visitors to the Inn at the front desk.

In 2021, when the organization had to pause in-person volunteer opportunities, I worked with my community to coordinate in-kind donations to Pine Street Inn to address the problem of severe resource shortages during the summer.  I was able to collect over 2,500 items which were distributed to outreach and housing clients of the organization.

Beginning in the autumn of 2021, I have served on the Student Advisory Council of the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College.  Working alongside museum staff, I have planned and run a dozen events to engage the student body at Skidmore College in museums and the arts.
